Section 2.2 Quizzes and Exams
Four exams, worth 35-45 points each will be administered throughout the semester, along with a cumulative final exam. Each student's lowest exam score will be replaced by an average of the student's quiz and homework scores. Five to six quizzes, worth 15 points each, will be administered throughout the semester, with the lowest quiz score being dropped from the student's course point total.
All assignments will be largely based on the textbook examples and exercises and the accompanying online homework assignments. Approximately 20% to 40% of all in-class assignments will be mastery questions (multiple choice, true/false, matching, and fill-in-the-blank style), which will generally not be graded based upon student work. In general, all open-response questions will not receive partial credit unless sufficient work has been shown.
